Glossybox, The Harrods Edition!

Okay so, i wasn't overly impressed with last months glossybox, hence no post about it but as i was sifting through other posts to have a cheeky nose to see what others recieved i was surprised to see everyone else got a little card saying something about a unexpected suprise in the next box, i wasnt thrilled mainly because i did not recieve this card in mine, and i was worried i wasnt going to get the suprise. Thankfully, it was for everyone and after a series of clues it was revealed that the next Glossybox would be a Harrods edition!
And heres what was inside...
This box is amazing, and for the price we pay, we have been spoilt!
The first thing that caught my eye was the Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream, and you know what girlies this will definatly come in good use. Not that my body needs extra firming (i did only turn 20 yesturday), but i could imagine this is super moisturising, and well, Clarins, this must be worth alot full size.
Its thick, moisturising and smells lush.
The next thing that i spotted within the depths of Glossybox heaven was a middle(?) size Molton Brown, now if it wasnt for my mum i wouldnt of herd of this brand, she swears by the hand cream and it always smells beautiful and is so moisturising. So, i recieved the 'Heavenly Gingerlily moisture bath and shower' and at first i was a bit unsure as to weather ild like the smell of ginger or not, but it smells so good! Put it in my bath and it made my skin smell so good, and useully shower gels last a hour or so and the smell fades away, but this didnt.
This is a 50ml bottle compared to a useual full size 300ml.
Next up, a tester size perfume of Narciso Rodriquez for her perfume, now i know Glossybox are known for putting in rubbish perfume samples (im afraid to say i have infact either lost or given mine away), but those were rubbish makes, and this is such a stunning smell.
This is only 1ml compared to a full size 50ml.
The next thing i thought was another perfume tester, by this time im so excited i just rip open the box, and have to smell everything) and to my suprise i saw that it was a little lipstick! The packaging is a tartan print, in colour 'Rosewood' not necessarily a shade i would normally pick, but ill definatly give it a go.
Sorry its a bit of a naff photo, but i wanted to show you the tartan, so pretty!
Its a shimmery brown with a hint of red.
And last but not least, i was so chuffed and excited to see a YSL forever youth liberator serum in the box. Ive never tried YSL before, purly for the price of it, for example the full price of this product is £80!, ive herd alot of good reviews of touche eclat, but never thought to buy it. This product is supposed to 'increase youthful activity in skin cells'. Ive been useing it for about a week now, and my skin just feels so amazing after applied.
This was a 5ml size, compared to a full size 50ml.
Its a serum, and skins right in. Feels divine on the skin!

What did you all get in your Harrods Glossybox, i was very impressed!

Be my valentine, Glossybox!

As i lie horizontal nursing my ever worsening fluey, weak body, i cant help being cheered up by receiving my January Glossybox, yes there back, and after a long break between the Christmas one and this one, i was very much looking forward to it.
Ive been with glossybox now for about 6 months, and i love glossybox, theres been alot of negative comments about it over the past couple of months but i think in my personal opinion we get so much for what we pay, usually one of the products in the box is nearly, or over the price we pay for the whole box, i also love trying and experimenting with things i haven't seen before, or wouldn't usually buy.
With the Christmas box, the box was bright red, so i expected to open my cardboard box and to see the signature baby pink, matte, box. As to my surprise, it was a stunning bright pink! All ready for the valentine season. This is a limited addition box. How cute is the heart sticker and the colour of the box!
As every month rolls by, my glossybox always seems to go straight to the post office, and with stupid collection hours, i never seem to get it til the following weekend, so 9 times out of 10 i wouldn't be able to resist and HAVE to take a peek at the contents on other blogs or youtube. This month, however, i resisted. So it was a complete surprise. Here is what i got...
First thing that caught my eye were the two Clarins moistrisers. I have never tried Clarins before but i have herd so much about them and how good they are.
Theres 2 mini versions of the extra firming day cream, and night cream. This is perfect for glossybox as its for all skin types, so can be used by anybody. The size we received is 15ml, and for the full size of 50ml is £48! After seeing how much it was i had very high expectations.
On the left is the night cream, and the right is the day cream.
As you can see, the night cream is alot thicker then the day cream, on the glossybox card it writes 'Clarins intensive night-time skin renewal complex', that explains the thickness as its an intensive cream and the skin can absorb all the goodness overnight.
The day cream is alot thinner, and the card writes 'infusing skin with firming benefits that are immediate and long-lasting'. Now i would say to myself, jeez im 19 and im already using anti-ageing cream? And im sure im not alone in thinking that, but youve gotta start early, right?
Ive just applied a small amount of the night cream to my face and it feels amazing already! Really rich and moisturising.
Second thing that caught my eye was First Aid Beauty body moisturiser in a 57.6g version opposed to the full size version at 226.8g retailing at £10.
I have never seen this brand before, and so was quiet keen to try it out. Its really thick and is fragrance free, its really moisturizing and sinks really qwickly into my skin. On the glossybox card it states 'The ultimate travel companion for all skin types that provides irritant-free cleansing and hydration.' On the card it writes that it is body wash, but on the product is says body moisturiser, so im not really sure what it is, but ill be useing it as a moisturiser.
Sorry guys about my what looks like giant hands! As you can see its really thick, perfect for winter dry skin!
Next thing in the box of lovelyness is a small product from the company Murad, my mum swears by Murad and her skin has really improved since useing it, so as soon as i saw the packaging i new it would be a good product. This is a Skin perfecting primer, and it states on the packaging 'Ignite skins radiant glow, create a smooth resillient canvas while minimising the appearence of pores'. Perfect for i have alot of pores on my t-section and will try anything/buy anything to get rid of them (well to hide them at least).
We recieved in our box a 5ml version, to buy the full 30ml version would set you back £29.
I was really suprised to see that it is coloured, useual primers are a gel or liquid clear cream, i spreaded it over my hand and it definatly added colour. To use, everyday after moisturizing, blend evenly over face and neck, wear under or in place of foundation for a fresh look.
Lastly, is the full size product. Eyeko skinny eyeliner. I have never seen this brand before so really keen to get it open and to see what it was. The colour i recieved was Midnight blue, which is perfect considering i have bright blue eyes. We recieved a full size pencil, which retails at £9.50, which is 50p off the price for the whole box, im pretty impressed with that.
I was quiet disapointed when i saw how big it was, i thought ah wow! Thats hudge, but in actual fact half of it is just a sort of plastic point, dont really know the purpose of it to be honest, but i loved the colour of it. On the card, it writes 'Get a handle on your eyeliner for precise definition and intense colour with a long-lasting finish'. On the box of the product it writes 'Create dramatic and subtle effects with precise definition and smooth application. Long lasting wax based formula with a blendable cream finish'.
The colour i have is called Midnight Blue, and as you can see its like a navy blue. Im really pleased with the colour i have got because i have seen that other people have got colours i wouldnt really like to use on my eyes.
Overal im really pleased with my glossybox, as i am with every month, and i think for the price we pay we really get treated. And in my personal opinion i love getting a present every month!

How cute is this glossybox sweet!

Thanks for reading my lovely followers.
What did you all get in your glossybox?

December Glossybox!

Okay, so, haven't been on here in a while, i do apologise. Work has quiet literally taken over my life!
Moving on..
As soon as i open a glossybox, investigate each item i am in excitemeant for the next one already, and Decembers box did not disappoint! In Novembers box there was alot of disappointment and i can understand why, i had so many little perfume testers i couldn't remember where i put them all, i never use them as i like to spray loads on and i ended up giving some of them to my friend. You can clearly see in this months box they have taken all the comments on board and improved the box tons. As i ripped open the postage box to my surprise the usual dusty pink signature box was replaced by a more shiny red box for the festive season (at this point i turn into the mental state of a 5 year old on Christmas morning) as i fling the cards to one side, pull open the ribbon and rip open the tissue paper.

The first thing that catches my eye is a Rituals foaming shower gel. We have a rituals shop in Cambridge, well i don't think its there anymore actually, but anyway, Ive always heard good things about there stuff, and working in a shop in Cambridge as well they would sometimes pop in some samples to us which were Divine. The sent i recieved was the Fujiyama, which to be honest, confuses my brain, but its mandarin and mint. It smells lovely, minty with a hint of fruit orange-ness. It says on the card 'this unique foaming shower gel gently cleanses your skin and leaves it silky soft and smooth' To buy this full size is £6.50. Ive seen on other reviews that some people got rose sented ones, what one did you get?
Then i noticed the full size black box in the coner. Blink + go mascara. Ive never herd of this company before and never seen it in any shops. I had a little sneaky look on the website and it looks like they do more false eyelashes, mascaras and eyeshadows. The full size of this mascara is £14.99 so immediatly made back all the money i spent on the glossybox!
I love a good mascara, who doesnt? But embrassingly enough to admit it, i like the big old chunky brushes and the thick formula, i like to have long and really thick lashes! The tube is heavy and the brush medium sized. I look forward to useing it!
I couldnt belive my eyes when i saw a glitter nail varnish, this is right up my street! On my previous post i was gushing how much i loved a christmas glitter and there it was, sitting, waiting for me in my glossy box! Its by Deborah Lippmann and a full size one of these badboys is £16! I struggle to justify spending a tenner on a OPI let alone £16! The one i recieved, and what i think everyone recieved, was Razzle Dazzle. Which isnt included on the House of Fraser website to buy. Its a reddy, pinky glitter colour.
In the box it was included with a nail varnish stripper to go sachet, this states to clean all ten nails.
I wanted to paint my nails today with this new nail varnish, and my previous nail varnish was the OPI teenage dream, and all of us girls know its such a pain in the bum to get glitter off. So i thought considering these strippers to buy for a pack of 6 was £14 would work miricles. I thought wrong! I got as far as 2 and a half nails before the mitt was useless and had to resort back to my Co-op cheapy nail varnish remover. I would definatly wait til you didnt have glitter on to use this mitt.
The colour of the nail varnish is not as bright and glittery as i thought it would be on the bottle, like some glitter varnishes where you get about 6 specs of glitter and just a clear coat on your nails this was jam packed with glitter and colour, and i didnt have to resort in dabbing or blobbing on.
Okay, so yes my camera is a peice of rubbish but you get the jist of it. This colour is definatly perfect for the christmas party season! But for £16 a pot, i might not be investing in some until i win the lottery!
Then i spotted a Mememe box, ive herd of this brand, ive seen my friends stumble into work and applying their mememe eyeshadows in the early mornings. But ive never tried it before. What i recieved was seventh heaven, 'a luxurious moisturising facebase enriched with active nutrients and extracts to prime and nourish the skin' PERFECT i thought. I suffer with terrible dry skin, especially in the winter months.

This isnt a full size, but there is still alot on a pot, i opened it and tried a bit on my morning skin and only used a little bit that was blobbed on the lid. It smells lush, hints of orange, lemon and lime. It feels smooth and adds moisture instantly. I will definatly try this out before i hit my skin with make-up and see if it helps! I checked out the mememecosmetics website, and i genually want to buy everything!
Last but not least, the smallest thing in the box, a Cargo classic lip gloss. What looks like on the little picture, i recieved the darkest shade, which i wasnt thrilled about, i have thin lips and only suit nude or light colours, so this lipgloss might be heading my mums way. But either way, still looks a stunning colour!
This months glossybox has been best one yet. I was chuffed to peices with what i recieved and you can see they went into alot of thought to pick all the products for this months box. Thankyou Glossybox!
Did you like your glossybox? What did you get?
Thanks for reading!
